Sydney Walking Tour

Our first full day in Syndey we woke up before sunrise so we walked over to the Opera House and Harbor Bridge to take pictures and eat breakfast.
We decided to go on the free walking tour today at 10:30.  A college student was our guide and she took the group on a 3 hour walking tour of Sydney.  It was very interesting and we saw lots, but were so tired by the end.

We saw the Queen Victoria Building, Customs House with a great 3D model of Sydney built into the floor, the Rum Hospital, learned more about the Harbor Bridge and Sydney Opera House, and saw the Rocks area which is the old slum area of Sydney that now has lots of cute shops and pubs.  After our tour we went and bought our tickets to see "The Marriage of Figaro" at the Opera House on Saturday afternoon.  It was time for lunch and a nap after that and we had dinner at an Italian Restaurant.  Tomorrow we hope to pick up my race packet for a 14K race I am running in on Sunday and maybe go to the fish market for lunch.
